Massa Marittima
Small historic village located on top of a panoramic hill, Massa Marittima is a true pearl of Maremma.
In its old town, still today surrounded by medieval walls, you can admire: the Cathedral, the Palazzo del Podestà, the Town Hall, the Market Loggia, the ancient Mint and the Public Fountain.
A great part of these buildings is gathered in the heart of the town, in the main square of Massa Marittima. It is a spectacular example of public organization of the XIII century: an incredible heritage freezed in time.
It is possible to reach the square walking along narrow alleys that climb the hill. Once arrived, do not miss the panorama of the countryside of Maremma that surrounds the whole village, in the distance you can even see the sea.
